Originally published in 1810, this work was published in England, though written in French. The author is a radical anti-Bonapartist and makes that very clear, but he also provides an interestign insight into two aspects of how the French fought war at this time. The work is interesting because it is written by a Russian officer who obviously saw the French system in operation and describes what he saw.
