This is a general history, from the French perspective, of the French wars fought in Italy against the Neapolitans, Spanish, and the Holy Roman Empire. Several battles are discussed as are sieges and the general campaigns. It is interesting in that it transitions from armies consisting of knights and some infantry, to armies of armored men-at-arms and pikemen/landsknechts, to pike and musket armies.
