The 1747 campaign was a continuation of the 1745 and 1746 campaigns in what is today, Belgium. The author was a participant in the 1747 campaign, so he had first hand knowledge of the events. In his account, he gives an almost daily discussion of the maneuvers, the forages, the sieges, and the one great battle, the battle of Lawfeld.
