This is a nice account of the last battle of the War of 1812, fought after the war had ended. The British landed a force and marched up the Mississippi River where they were met by a force of Americans, under Andrew Jackson, and the pirates of Lafitte. This was a major American victory and would eventually propell Andrew Jackson into the presidency.
