This is a complete history of the War of the Spanish Succession as it was fought in Spain.  It has been supplemented with the addition of 10 maps.  The maps cover various battles and sieges.  Because this part of the War of the Spanish Succession was not as active as that in Flanders it is able to discuss in reasonable details all the major actions and many smaller ones through this time period.  This is a story of naval operations and attacks on Cadiz, Gibraltar, Mallorca, and Barcelona; the major battle of Almanza, and a number of smaller battles and sieges.  It also discusses the internal politics of the British and how, as it appeared to me as I transcribed and edited this work, one of the major players in the British decision making chain was more interested in supporting the Duke of Savoy than he was in serving the interests of England.
