The author of this work was the personal secretary to the Elector of Saxony (who also was the King of Poland) during this period and this is his account of the Saxon, Bavarian, French. and Prussian invasion of Bohemia, the battles around and the siege of Prague, the Austrian invasion of Bavaria, and the Austrian invasion of Alsace and Lorraine. It is as much a military account as a political account of the war.
