Poland and Russia were having issues upon the death of Sigismond, factions rose up and a Russia’s position was threatened. The Turks, seeing this, sought advantage and Russia, fearing a Turkish attack out of what is today Moldavia, sent an army into the region and this is a history of the subsequent campaign.
