This is six original volumes bound into three volumes. The ofirst of these three volumes starts out discussing the manner in which a partisan officer should operate behind enemy lines and then evolves into a discussion of operational processes for an army commander. It is most enlightening on how war was fought during the Seven Years War. It talks about camp guards, spies, and guards. It covers directing, protecting and attacking convoys, taking fortresses by siege, treachery, and escalade escalades; executing, defending and attacking forages. It’s got an amazing amount of detailed information on every element of warfare during the Seven Years War. It will be followed by two more such volumes.
