This is abroad, general history of five years of warfare. It covers a multitude of sieges and battles, including one naval battle, fought by the French during this part of the War of the Austrian Succession. It was originally published in 1759 and was intended to flatter King Louis XV. The heaviest focus is on Flanders, where the King of France was present. It is amazing how successful the French were in besieging and capturing fortresses in Flanders. And, it provides a brief discussion of the battle of Lawfeldt, where the Maurice de Saxe defeated the British Army and the Austrian army near Maestricht.
