This work is like the others on the Napoleonic armies in that it provides all the internal details of the infantry, cavalry, and artillery formations, when they were raised, and their uniform details.  It starts in 1733 with a brief history of Poland up to its dismemberment 1794, the formation of Polish legions in the French army, the formation of the state of the Grand Duchy of Warsaw, the formation of its army using the Polish legions and other sources, and the final destruction of the Grand Duchy in 1813.

If you bought the hardbound work Poles and Saxons, published by Emperor’s Press, do not buy this.  It is purely a reissuance of the purely Polish part of that work.
