This work was originally published in 1743. It is a detailed account of the British attempt to capture Cartegena, Columbia, a Spanish colony and one of the four major ports in the Caribbean. The British made an amphibious landing and marched to Cartegena. They began siege operations that eventually failed and abandoned the siege.
