This is an unusual work written in three parts. The first part is Montecuccoli’s theories on the art of war, the second part is how to fight the Turks, and the third part is a history of his war against the Turks from 1662-1664. It is not a memoir in which he discusses his life. The closest thing to that is his fighting the Turks from 1662-1664.
